At Funhouse, we’re all about joy, fun, and creativity, not credit card debt and late fees. Gross. That’s why you won’t find Afterpay, Klarna, or any “buy now, pay later” buttons in our checkout. Hooray!  

Please don’t go into debt to buy from us. Debt is not fun for anyone. We want to make your life brighter, not heavier. The world is already hard enough; we don’t want to add stress on top of it. Not to mention, these services are a disaster for the business itself. 

According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, food, water, shelter, and safety are the foundation of human survival. At the very top of this pyramid sits self-actualization, where creativity and art come in. Our prints, pens, stickers, and notepads are here to make life more vibrant. We won’t pretend they’re essential to survival, and we definitely don’t want you skipping a meal for a roll of washi tape. (As mentioned in our washi tape blog post, washi tape is non-edible). 

Of course, we need profit to continue operating, but our true mission is to improve the quality of life of our customers. Afterpay goes against everything we believe in at Funhouse. If you can afford our products without stress, amazing! If not, please take care of your needs first. We’ll be here when you’re ready.
